I had a nice controlled solo ride up to Dudley's Bakery today.
No sweets/treats. I hit the parking lot and did a u-turn
Sat Ride time: 4:07
70 miles // 5000 feet of climbing
Rode the Planet-X after a new fit.
AP 193 // NP 204
Avg HR 131 (AeT or first deepening of breath is 135)
The ride up there took 2:20 and was AP 200 // NP 209. Avg HR was 132 and avg cadence 80. Capped my efforts at HR 140 (AeT+5). Coming back down from Dudley's and the hills the ride time was 1:47 and was AP 185 // NP 199 with avg HR of 131 and avg cadence 83.
From highway 15 going east and back, this is one of the best IM specific type rides around. It has everything; about four 20-30min climbs, lots of rollers, fast flat aero stretches, wind, rough roads and solitude. Classic.
