We All Live Downstream

Awhile back I posted about my good friend Scott's sudden passing. At his eulogy many of us were given the rubber bands Lance made popular (yellow) except these were made in the image of hunting fatigues. Written on the rubber in white letters were the words "We All Live Downstream". Scott was an avid outdoorsman and concerned for our environment. He had them made the week before he died and handed them out to his family on their trip on the Colorado River before he passed on. Great idea and an even better sentiment. I am happy to carry his message on my wrist.
Not long ago, gordo wrote on his blog about picking up 5 to 10 pieces of trash each day and how Monica began doing it too. Well, I did too; passed it along to my family and have spread the idea to others. I shared it with some dads and their daughters this weekend when I visited Stockton. Like throwing a rock in a pond -- watch the ripples spread with so little effort.
We All Live Downstream ...
Rock on, brother Scott.
