Ride in fire ravaged east county SD (pics)

Monday, I rode out Pomerado Road, through parts of Poway and Rancho Bernardo, all the way to where the 15 freeway, Pomerado and Highland Valley meet. At this point Highland Valley turns inland or east. When things were bad, wildfires roared from further east in Ramona, over the ridges and down Highland Valley right across highway 15 toward the ocean. Where you turn inland on HV there was a nursery and a Christmas Tree farm. Then a dense patch of greenery and tress for about 5 miles before a steep climb up to Ramona. I rode all the way to Ramona and then circled back to my house (2:45 ride time).
This was the tree farm ...
Behind the farm and up on a hill were two homes. One still stands.
This was the dense green area as I rode inalnd
The trees and brush were so dense, walking in this area was impossible
As you can see, the brush is gone and the trees are just skeletons
The road turns up quickly with a series of sharp switchbacks. Around one corner were remnants of a home.
On a clear day this home's view took in the ocean
These hills were deep green lanscapes which are now more moonscapes. The burn areas continue on up to Dudley's.
