Saturday rides to Dudley's Bakery

Last weekend I met and rode with, Nina, who had flown out from Atlanta. She joined me and some others (Mike and Katya) as we headed out to Dudley's. It turned out to be _very_ windy on the way out there. Ride time was about 2:45 going out and 1:35 coming back. Flying!
This weekend, I rode with JBird (his pal Robbie) and Colleen (The Sleeper). We also rode to Dudley's. It was about 40 degrees and calm when we started. As we passed through Ramona, things got tougher. On the long straight flat to Dudley's (the last mile) I was going 10mph, in my small gears, at about 210w. WOOOO! Felt like Kona 2004.
Ride time was about 2:43 going out and 1:38 coming back. Returning with big wind at your back is eerily quiet and a huge payoff after the mental game we played on the way up there. No bakery goodies for me but I did visit the grocery store for a pound of turkey and a Monster energey drink for the way back. Nina, JBird and Colleen, thanks for making the time to ride with Coach KP. K, M and R, love to have you guys to ride with, anytime.
Looking forward to some sunshine!
