Started out today with a nice 3400 swim. We had finished the main set and I did a 200 cool down. What somebody negelected to tell me was that it was a 100 CD, when I popped my head up everyone was gone except G and JD who were finishing up a set in another lane. Yards still count. I built my strategy for MT Lemmon based on my experience with Epic. I burnt a few matches yesterday and didn't want ot end up hobbling on Thursday. I decided to ride a 175-180 watts for the entire climb. I was going to go moderate hard or hard and just hold. I was pulling a group and we hit mile 7, the first guy went off and I almost shelved the plan but I held on. The rest of the group pulle out and I just held to the plan. Mile 17-18 did not go so well but I regrouped for mile 19-21. Just downloded my stats for my power meater. My heart rate at the begining of the climb was 139, half way I was at 141, at the top I was 146. Watts were 160-180 with mile 17-18 at 160, the rest of the ride I held to plan. This was the hardest ride I ever did, holding steady for 3 hours going up hill required a lot more concentration then I thought. First half I completed in 1:23, second was 1:24.
