Glad everyone is having a great time in the desert. I'm still pumped after that 5K swim in March. On the subject of leg pain, the complex interaction of biking and running on strength inbalances had me stumped for a couple of years. The basic adductor/abductor sets and some specific strength training of my "weak" left leg helped quite a bit. So did keeping my bike power and running pace under control. In my case, I needed to ask "why" would my left leg continue to need all of this work? My persistence in seeking advice led me to an X-Ray which demonstrated a short left tibia. I just had a professional bike fit with the addition of a quarter inch to my left cleat. I have a set of custom orthotics. I need to continue doing my "bird dogs," stretching, eating and training smart. Its all part of the "work" involved with a healthy triathlon lifestyle.
