The folks rolled out today for a 103 mile ride. I am flying out early so I was not able to join them but managed to hit the Tucson YMCA for a swim. (G the pool I thought was open was not) This was a fantastic week for me. I hit an all time high for swim yardage and came away with two major discoveries. Big swim weeks make me tired but won’t kill me and big swim weeks bring major improvement even for me. I hope to capitalize on that as I role forward with my year. I accomplished 80% of what I wanted to accomplish this week. I missed some bike time due to my AT issues but the swim volume made up for it. I had a plan for each session and did not deviate from it. Though it was a little touch and go when Justin went on Lemmon but I held to the plan.
Thanks to the folks at EC, you have put together a great team and you made the week one to remember. The talks with JD, Matt, Dr J, G, AC, and Robby made the camp. I took a lot away from those. The campers were a great group and I look forward to seeing there race results.
