Ive changed my life a bit (a BIT?? more like a LOT) and instead of swimming with a mad coach every morning (yes, this man truly has ten bees between his earlobes and they multiply as the week progresses) I get to swim with him three mornings out of four and run on Tuesdays instead.
Today, I was at the track at 7:45am and given that I am now taking a high dose of Vitamin P(ersonality) I was on a roll. I had a track test to do with a beeping device, affectionately called a heart rate monitor.
The 8*400 reps wouldve put any 4 year old to shame and the stadium filled up with such shorties at 8:30am. I am sure I scared a few children as dads hurriedly pulled their little ones towards them as I came charging down the really RED track for the last two loops. I think I had pretty even splits and this beepy thing actually is useful in recording "split times".
Now if I only knew my 3K TT time from last year.......... I could tell if I am getting fitter or fatter as I close in on fifty.
I will take the results from today for what they are. Priscilla Welch ran her first marathon at age 34-35??? By that time, I either run the 3:26 she did or keep trying
