Mt Lemmon on Tuesday

We had good conditions out to climb Mt Lemmon today. Some legs may have been a bit heavy after Madera but the 21 mile climb up to 8000 feet rolled out in warm weather and lots of smiles. I kept my efforts upper steady to moderately hard for the duration of the climb. Total ride time was a little over 4hrs. Climbing really lights up my low back so I briefly stopped to stretch my psoas every half hour or so.
1st 30min -- NP 218 // HR 133
2nd 30min -- NP 224 // HR 145
3rd 30min -- NP 227 // HR 152
4th 30min -- NP 217 // HR 153
Backed off last minutes to the top as my low back fired up pretty good (209, 153)
Great fun out there today. Alan gave a great talk tonight after dinner about muscle fiber types and the advantage of recruiting fiber types through training to stimulate appropriate change for long course athletes. ROCKED.
