Stuggling with Paleo

hope you can help, I am trying implement the Paleo diet. but am Finding that i feel weak and struggling through workouts. Not sure I really understand everything in the book by friel. Could you help with some concrete examples of what you eat before and during a workout. I went back in the archives and found something you posted back in 2005. also, does it matter on the length of the workout? thanks
